Dr. Hoda Zeinab M. Amer

Dr. Hoda Amer is an Egyptian-American board-certified anatomic pathologist and cytopathologist. Dr. Amer grew up in international communities and developed a passion and appreciation for diversity, cultures, and languages. Dr. Amer dedicates much of her time to non-profit work. Through the non-profit that she co-founded, “American Board Certified Doctors for Egypt,” she organized conferences and educational events for physicians and medical students based in Egypt. She also has an interest in women’s health, particularly HPV and FGM/C, for which she has spearheaded awareness campaigns, lectures, and initiatives both in Egypt and locally in Columbus, OH. Dr. Amer is also a busy mother of an amazing blended family. Dr. Amer lives between Columbus, OH, USA, and New Cairo, Egypt.
She is the author of the book, Animals of Undetermined Significance, a humorous novel about Pathology residents. Her newest book, Mariposa's Transformation is coming soon.
